dood, just export a Quicktime movie out of flash and then put it into Afteraffects and reexport it. Then upload it onto youtube or something.

i agree you should totally make it..it's a good story
I too am an animation student. I go to the Art Institute of Houston. Your aztec themed art looks great for animation. You use the style that is wanted by animation studios. Good luck after you graduate...don't think you need it though.
